Advice Quality Standard

The Advice Quality Standard (AQS) is a quality standard that is awarded to organisations that give advice to members of the public on matters of a legal nature. The AQS is owned by the Advice Services Alliance (ASA) and is managed by a committee of individuals with expertise in quality and the advice sector. Citizens Advice is a member of Advice Services Alliances, which is a national advice network in the UK. Other members are adviceUK, AgeUK, SCOPE, Law centres network, Shelter and Youth Access.

Lexcel is The Law Society's Practice Management Standard. It provides a benchmark of good practice by an independent assessment process.
