- About Citizens Advice
The Citizens Advice Service helps people to resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free information and advice from nearly 3,400 locations around the country and by influencing policy makers. The Service is provided by over 6,000 paid staff and nearly 22,000 volunteers. In 2004/5, Citizens Advice Bureaux handled more than 5 million new problems for clients.
- Citizens Advice and Sure Start
Sure Start is the government programme to deliver the best start in life for every child by bringing together early education, childcare, health and family support. Sure Start covers a wide range of general programmes as well as many targeted on particular local areas or disadvantaged groups.
- How To Get In Touch
The Charnwood Citizens Advice Bureau offers Free, Impartial, Independent and Confidential Advice at three Centres across the Borough, based in Loughborough, Shepshed and Syston. In addition, Advice is offered on one day each week at the Sure Start Centres at Loughborough East and Shelthorpe. This page provides Contact details and opening hours for each location.
- Money Advice Service
Charnwood Citizens Advice Bureau provides a free, independent and confidential Money Advice Service to people with financial problems or struggling to make ends meet. The Bureau supports the Leicestershire County Debt Line – a Consumers Advice and Information Service that is a joint initiative between the County Council, the five County Citizens Advice Bureaux and the Legal Services Commission. Whatever your money problem, the Citizens Advice Bureau can help.
