Charnwood Citizens Advice Bureau in Loughborough celebrated the contribution that volunteers and staff have been making to the local community for 75years. The event was geared around the 1940s. Jo Freeman, fund-raising assistant at the Charnwood CAB in Woodgate said 'we had a fantastic time celebrating with new and old volunteers, partners and businesses from all over the county. We raised money for our service but more importantly we raised awareness of our service. Recent research on the impact of the Citizens Advice service found that by helping people solve the problems they face, our service delivers a value to society of at least £750m each year, of which £600m is attributed to services provided through the bureau'.
