More than 350 people have been helped by the Citizens Advice Bureau in Shepshed - with 35 per cent of concerns relating to benefits.
A report by Charnwood Citizens Advice Bureau was prepared for Shepshed's Annual Parish Meeting on Wednesday May 18.
The service offers free and independent advice in areas such as welfare benefits, debt, employment, housing, consumer and relationships.
Shepshed Town Council supports Charnwood CAB by funding the service in Shepshed and by hosting it in the Shepshed Community Centre and Town Council building.
The report says over the last financial year more than 350 Shepshed residents have used the service resulting in more than 1,000 activities, face to face interviews, letters, phone calls, relating to nearly 1,500 advice issues.
Problems with benefits account for 35 per cent of all issues raised by Shepshed clients, debt represents around 23 per cent and employment accounts for about 10 per cent.
