Rotary praised for Citizens Advice aid

Citizens Advice Charnwood welcomed Shepshed Charnwood Rotarian Paul Miles to thank the club for its recent charity donation.
Though supported by Charnwood Borough Council and Leicestershire County Council, Citizens Advice Charnwood is a charity and depends heavily on receiving funding from public donations.
Formed in the 1940s, the bureau is busier now than at any other time in its history.
It receives nearly 200 phone calls and more than 450 clients pass through each month. There are eight paid staff but the bulk of work is carried out by mre than 40 advisers who volunteer their time to help others.
A spokesperson for Shepshed Charnwood Rotary Club said: "The Rotary club is very pleased to be able to support the organisation in helping the local community."
Rotarian Paul thanked the staff and volunteers for their hospitality and for an interesting and informative visit.
