Citizens Advice Charnwood announces an update to its services

In September we reopened for face to face appointments but due to further government guidance to work from home, we have now returned to telephone only advice.

Anyone seeking to make a new claim for Universal Credit should call the Universal Credit Help to Claim line on 0800 1448444.

Our volunteer advisers working from home have, between July and September, advised over 600 local people with more than 1900 issues. Help was most needed with Benefits (including Universal Credit); Debt; Employment; Housing and Relationship & Family issues.
