Over 1,000 tenants have had to seek help from Citizens Advice nationally for unlawful eviction in the last 3 months

The number of people coming to Citizens Advice for help due to illegal eviction between March and June more than doubled in comparison to the same period last year — despite the eviction ban. We welcomed the extension of the ban in early June, but simply extending the pause on repossessions is clearly a sticking plaster, not a cure.
