Citizens Advice knows just how important the £20 a week uplift to Universal Credit has been for so many families. Since the start of the pandemic, we've given advice to more than 350,000 people nationally about the benefit — but now our advisers face the task of warning claimants of a potential cut to their income in less than 2 months. With a tough outlook in the jobs market and rising essential costs, now's not the time to cut this vital lifeline.
